Raised Timber Deck with Balustrades and Steps
A raised deck can make the connection between a home and a lower garden feel more considered. This photo pair shows an older deck and a fresh timber layout with balustrades and a stepped route down.
Project at a glance

- Timber balustrades around the platform
- Steps connecting the deck and garden
A closer look at the project
The later view shows a defined deck platform framed by timber rails and upright spindles. Steps link the deck to the paved garden below, while the timber detailing brings a consistent finish to the platform and its edges. The photographs make the change in layout and appearance easy to compare.

For raised decking, the level of the doorway, the change in height and the position of the steps all affect the design. George can discuss a layout for your space and the checks needed before work begins.
