Narrow Garden with Fencing, Sleeper Bed and Path

A long garden layout brings fencing, planting space and a clear path together. This project photograph shows timber boundaries, a raised sleeper bed and a paved route running beside a central strip of lawn.

Project at a glance

  • Timber fencing along the garden boundaries
  • Long raised bed edged with timber sleepers
  • Paved route beside a central lawn area

A closer look at the project

The raised bed follows the left-hand boundary, making use of the garden’s length for planting. On the opposite side, a straight paved path leads towards the far end of the garden. Timber fencing frames both sides, while the central green area keeps the layout visually open. Tools and loose materials are visible, so this is presented as a progress view.

Planning something similar?

For a narrow garden, giving access and planting their own space can help organise the layout. Fence lines, bed widths and the route to the rear of the garden are useful to consider together.
